Required skills for a Reynolds Polymer CNC Lead Technician

  • Makes safety a top priority

  • Must be able to use and perform programming and machining functions using CAD/CAM software.

  • Must have Master Cam experience

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in machining

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in programing

  • Experience in gantry, 3 axis machining, 5 axis preferred

  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan machining operations by studying outlines, engineering drawings, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) and material properties

  • Design fixtures, holding devices and tooling as required

  • Understand Common FANUC g-codes and M-Functions

  • Support Acrylic projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection and testing using knowledge of machine functions and limitations, and mathematics

Physical and Mental Demands

  • Able to work 40 to 60 hours per week

  • Perform general physical activities including but not limited to the handling and positioning of parts, ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and shoveling acrylic chips. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Ability to work in a noisy and wet environment.
